Cancer Genetics and Immunology

The Siolas Lab seeks a postdoctoral fellow in cancer genetics and immunology to join an expanding research group focused on understanding the relationship between cancer genes and the immune microenvironment. The fellow will lead laboratory-based studies to identify immune phenotypes associated with different tumor genotypes and sites of origin with opportunities to expand into additional cancer sites. The fellow will build relationships with a range of scientific colleagues, publish peer-reviewed work, present at national conferences, and gain experience in grant writing.

Cancer Epigenetics

Dr. Rohit Chandwani's Lab seeks a postdoc fellow to examine the epigenetic mechanisms of cancer. The lab explores the contribution that chromatin dysregulation has in tumor initiation and progression, focussing on pancreatic and liver malignancies. Studies include lineage specification and cell fate in the exocrine pancreas, epigenetic memory of inflammation, and more. Lung and Breast Cancer Research

The Mittal laboratory seeks postdocs with experience in molecular biology, immunology, genomics and mouse models. They employ integrated clinical and preclinical approaches to investigate tumor initiation, outgrowth and metastasis. Current projects include epigenetic regulation of chromosomal instability, metabolic regulation of cancer stem cells, tumor immunology, endoplasmic reticulum stress and role of metals in cancer cell and tumor microenvironment. Hedgehog Signaling in Development and Cancer

Dr. Baolin Wang's lab is seeking postdocs to study Hedgehog signaling in development and cancer. The Hedgehog (Hh) family of secreted signaling proteins plays fundamental roles in animal development, cell growth, and differentiation. Dr. Wang's research focuses on how defects in primary cilia formation affect Hh signaling by using a variety of approaches including molecular, cell and developmental biological, biochemical, and genetic approaches. Gene Expression Regulation: RNA Mechanisms

The lab of Dr. Samie Jaffrey is seeking postdocs to study how gene expression is regulated by dynamic nucleotide modifications in RNA. We generated the first transcriptome-wide maps of m6A (N6-methyladenosine), which is credited as beginning the field of epitranscriptomics. We are actively exploring the signaling pathways and biochemical mechanisms that control the levels of m6A mRNA and the pathways that activate the m6A “writer complex”. Tumor Immunology/Immunotherapy

The lab of Roberta Zappasodi, Ph.D., is seeking a creative and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow experienced in tumor immunology, immunotherapy, T and B cell biology. The Zappasodi Lab studies the impact of T cell regulatory mechanisms and tumor metabolism in the response to cancer immunotherapy through highly translational research projects. We primarily investigate these mechanisms in solid tumors and aim to extend our observations to B cell lymphomas, where the malignant disease occurs in the immune system itself. Cancer Signaling and Metabolism, Metastasis and Drug Resistance

The Blenis laboratory is seeking postdocs to study cancer metabolism and signaling. Areas of focus include: i) mTORC1-dependent regulation by dietary and endogenous metabolites and downstream effects; ii) Ras/ERK-MAPK and TGFb -dependent regulation of metastasis and drug-resistance; and iii) signaling mechanisms of the aging-associated, oncometabolite methylmalonic acid (MMA) and propionate metabolism in tumors and the microenvironment. Systems Biology of Metastasis

The group of Ashley Laughney at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, is seeking innovative and highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to contribute to our systems biology study of metastasis. The lab combines high-throughput single cell transcriptional profiling with development of new computational tools, combinatorial perturbations and cancer models, to understand the context-dependent interplay between inflammation and stemness during the evolution of metastasis.

Lung Cancer

The Altorki and McGraw Laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral fellows. Altorki specializes in lung and esophageal cancers. Tim McGraw specializes in molecular cell biology. They use clinical data and human samples to inform studies addressing the underpinnings of lung tumorigenesis and response/resistance to therapies. A PhD, MD, or equivalent degree required.
