In the summer of 2018, MCC launched the office of Community Outreach and Engagement and appointed an Associate Director over the office in the summer of 2019. The OCOE aims to bridge the divide that often exists between academic health centers and community stakeholders. The offices mission is to promote equitable collaboration and eliminate cancer disparities through community capacity building, engaged research across all four of MCC’s programs, and advocacy.
