Community Advisory Board

The Meyer Cancer Center Community Advisory Board (MCC CAB) elevates voices from the community, ensuring MCC’s strategic goals align with the needs of those who have been or will be affected by cancer. It is also an opportunity to disseminate cutting-edge research to the communities we collectively serve.

Since establishing the MCC CAB in December 2020, our Center benefits from the voices of community leaders. Membership further deepens our ties to the community and expands the breadth of our research. By serving on the CAB, you can join others in guiding the strategic goals of our Center, sharing scientific discoveries with our communities, and advocating for policy initiatives that improve the lives of populations with whom you are intimately familiar.

MCC CAB membership provides you with a unique opportunity to serve the lives of the approximately six million people who reside in our catchment area. It is so very important to promote voices at the community level and to provide a setting where that voice is an equal partner. CAB meetings are held quarterly each year: September, January, March, and June. In between the meetings we provide updates of the Center’s work via emails. Members are often invited to sit on working groups as their schedules allow.

if you'd like to join the MCC CAB, please email Kellie Jack (kaj4009@med.cornell.edu).
