Katie Gayvert and Neel Madhukar
As Ph.D. candidates at Weill Cornell Medicine, Kaitlyn Gayvert and Neel Madhukar both work in the Elemento Lab, using algorithms to learn about cancer genomes. They're using machine learning to do everything from finding new drug targets (and predicting those drugs' toxicity) to predicting whether a clinical trial will be successful. Both made the prestigious "30 Under 30" in healthcare list by Forbes.
