Dr. Duncan Hau, assistant professor of clinical pediatrics, has been elected to the Association of Pediatric Program Directors Global Health Learning Community Steering Committee. Committee members are global health educators who have expressed interest in leadership and in providing increased educational resources for pediatric training programs. 

Dr. Abhishek Jaywant, assistant professor of neuropsychology in psychiatry and of rehabilitation medicine, has received the Career Development Award from the National Institute of Mental Health. The award will fund a clinical trial evaluating a novel digital cognitive training paradigm in individuals with stroke who experience co-occurring depression and cognitive deficits. 

Dr. Massimo Loda, chairman of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the David D. Thompson Professor of Pathology, was appointed chairman of the American-Italian Cancer Foundation Scientific Advisory Board. The foundation supports cancer research and education, emphasizing the resources of Italy and the United States, recognizing scientific excellence in medicine, and serving economically disadvantaged, medically under-served New York City women through breast cancer screening, outreach and education.
