Selina Chen-Kiang, Ph.D., Receives Funding from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's New Research Program
Selina Chen-Kiang, Ph.D., is the recipient of a grant from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's new research program in Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL). She and her team investigate the efficacy of a therapy approved for breast cancer for the treatment of MCL patients. Small studies have shown promise, either alone or in combination with ibrutinib, which is already already approved for MCL. However, many patients are resistant or relapse, and the team will try to understand why, and whether adding a therapy that boosts the immune system might help.
